Senior Mental Health Nurse

We are currently seeking experienced Mental Health Nurses for a hospital in Hurstville for heir brand new state of the art voluntary in-patient facility which is a 31 bedded ward with comfortable hotel like rooms. The service is designed to provide compassionate support to individuals seeking to improve their mental health and overall wellbeing. The team will be multidisciplinary, collaborative, and committed to delivering evidence-based care in a respectful and empowering setting. Role Overview

  • You will be working with patients with mood disorders, PTSD, Substance recovery
  • Delivering high-quality mental health nursing care
  • Conducting assessments and developing personalised care plans
  • Administering medication and monitoring treatment responses
  • Providing emotional support, crisis intervention, and de-escalation where necessary
  • Working closely with the wider clinical and therapeutic team
  • Supporting clinical governance and contributing to service development
  • Promoting a safe, supportive, recovery-oriented atmosphere

Candidate Requirements

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse
  • Has 2+ years’ experience
  • Demonstrates strong clinical assessment and risk management skills
  • Is compassionate, approachable, and dedicated to person-centred care
  • Works well within a multidisciplinary team and communicates effectively
  • Brings enthusiasm for helping to establish a new, forward-thinking service
