Registered Nurses – in Home Aged Care

In this role, you will deliver exceptional care to older Australians within their homes across the Armidale, Guyra, and  Uralla areas.

Role Overview: This is a community-based role supporting our elderly customers in their own homes. You will be required to travel between clients, ensuring that their care needs are met with compassion and professionalism. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing holistic care and supporting clients in their homes.

As a Registered nurse, you will:

  • Conduct clinical and personal care duties, taking a holistic approach to care in the home.
  • Apply expert clinical judgement, resourcefulness and compassion to develop care plans that meet the client’s needs.
  • Assess and treat wounds.
  • Monitor and help clients use equipment and devices like catheters and continence aids.
  • Ensure a high level of holistic care, including social and emotional support.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A Nursing qualification
  • Unrestricted AHPRA Registration, with a minimum of two years+ practising as an RN
  • Experience in Aged Care and Community Home Care customer service skills is desirable.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003/4) and current CPR certificate (HLTAID001), or willing to complete within 1 month of commencement
  • Proof of the right to work in Australia.
  • A current driver’s licence, registration and access to your car with comprehensive car insurance
  • National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain.
  • A genuine passion for caring for older patients and a determination to provide care that helps them stay in their homes longer.
  • Willingness to travel between appointments (paid travel)
  • Current up-to-date flu vaccine or desire to obtain.
  • Up-to-date COVID vaccinations
  • 2 current relevant referees
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
