Registered Midwife

Healthcare Australia (HCA) is seeking local Registered Midwives experienced in labour, antenatal or postnatal wards for short-term contract opportunities available with NT Department of Health (DOH) in Alice Springs Hospital, commencing this month. Your duties as an Registered Midwife include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing safe, high-quality delivery, antenatal and postnatal care while adapting quickly to different hospital settings.
  • Supporting mothers and newborns with education, breastfeeding guidance and emotional reassurance.
  • Conducting thorough assessments, monitoring wellbeing and responding promptly to clinical changes.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and upholding professional and hospital standards.

Eligibility:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Midwife
  • Minimum 2 years of full-time experience within labourantenatal or postnatal wards
  • Valid National Police Check
  • Valid NT Working With Children Check (Ochre Card)
  • Up-to-date vaccination and serology evidence
  • Full Australian working rights
  • If looking to work a contract with NT DOH, must not have worked here in the last 12 months
