Your New Role
As a Disability Support Worker with HCA, you will:
- Support people of all ages with intellectual and/or physical disability, and/or mental health conditions with high quality 1:1 support.
- Commit to regular and consistent shift schedules that match your availability, across day, night, weekend and public holiday shifts.
- Build relationships using clear communication and interpersonal skills, while promoting choice, dignity, and independence.
- Support customers with personal care, daily tasks, and community participation, which may include manual handling and respond effectively to challenging behaviours.
- Adapt to support each person’s unique needs and respond to challenging behaviours.
- Assist with physical health, emotional wellbeing and positive routines.
- Implement care plans and maintain clear documentation.
- Provide timely and consistent communication to the operational team to support smooth coordination and high-quality service delivery.

Let’s Talk About You
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- A minimum Certificate III (or higher) in a relevant field
- 12 months or more industry experience
- Working with Children (Paid) Check (Blue Card)
- NDIS Worker Screening (Paid) Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Ability to provide Government issued photo identification
- Valid Australian working rights
- Unrestricted Open Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable vehicle suitable for work use
- Full Comprehensive Vehicle Insurance
- A smartphone (iOS or Android)
- Availability to complete the online recruitment process, eLearning modules, and attend a paid in-person induction at one of our HCA offices
If you have 6 months industry experience and are undertaking a relevant certificate, we are interested in having a discussion with you!
