About the role

As a Senior Psychologist, you will deliver high-level psychological services across the Fraser Coast and Bundaberg districts. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary Behaviour Response Team, you will provide specialised support for patients with complex behaviours and dementia in both inpatient and community care settings. Your expertise will help optimise care, enhance patient outcomes, and make a lasting impact on the well-being of the community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions, with a focus on dementia and related challenges.
• Develop and implement behaviour management strategies tailored to patients with complex needs.
• Support clients, families, and caregivers through guidance, education, and consultation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute coordinated care plans.
• Maintain detailed, compliant records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress.
• Coordinate referrals to external providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

To be successful in the role you will have:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Psychology (or equivalent)
• AHPRA general registration (essential)
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role (essential)
• Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to build rapport
• Australian working rights
• National police check/ Aged Care Criminal History Check
