Home Care Support Worker

About the Role As a Homecare Support Worker with Healthcare Australia (HCA), you’ll deliver compassionate, personalised care to elderly clients in their homes—helping them stay independent and live well. Every day is different, as you travel between clients to provide support tailored to their individual needs.

Local shifts available in Wynnum, Manly, Thorneside, and Morningside

Your Responsibilities

  • Personal care: Assisting with showering, grooming, dressing, and medication reminders
  • Social support & transport: Taking clients to appointments, shopping, and outings
  • Domestic assistance: Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Mobility support: Helping with walking aids or personal equipment
  • Complex care: Supporting clients with higher or specialised care needs
  • Wellbeing monitoring: Observing and reporting any changes in health or behaviour
  • Documentation: Recording visit notes using our easy-to-use mobile app

About You
You are compassionate, reliable, and committed to making a positive impact in people’s lives. You’re a strong communicator and know how to build trust and connection with others. Flexibility and adaptability come naturally to you.

You’ll also have:

  • A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Home & Community Care, or Disability (required)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • A valid National Police Check (dated within the last 6 months)
  • An Australian Driver’s Licence and your own reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • At least 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccination
  • A smartphone with internet access
  • Willingness to complete online onboarding, training modules, and attend a paid in-person induction (Brisbane, Gold Coast, or Sunshine Coast)
