You can choose your availability 24/7 for a mixture of AM (morning), PM (afternoon) and ND (night duty) shifts
You will get an ALERT on your phone to inform you that you have been allocated a shift. You can then choose to accept or decline.

Once you have accepted a shift, it will show you the details of the shift
- Time of shift

- Your role (ward, theatre, ED) Timesheet information – most facilities use the app, but read this section for more details on each facility
- Parking information
Hot tips for eHCA App
- Ensure to update HCA on ALL the areas you would like to work. The more areas you are willing to work, the more shifts become available. For example, if you have been booked for an Emergency Department shift but then the facility does not require a nurse anymore, instead of cancelling your shift, then can re allocate you to the wards if you are willing to go to the ward.
- You can be paid the NEXT DAY if you like (quickpay). Read below for more details. Otherwise, pay is weekly (cha ching)
- Most facilities require you to sign on at their office before commencement of shift and after the shift. Make sure to read the app to locate where you need to sign on.
