About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Dietitian to join a reputable private hospital located in North Sydney. This is a part-time locum position (2-3 days per week), commencing mid December and finishing mid January.

This role is perfect for a motivated clinician who is available over the holiday period and is keen to provide high-quality nutritional care within an acute hospital environment. You will collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based nutrition assessment and interventions across various inpatient units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nutrition assessments, care plans, and follow-up reviews for patients across acute wards.
  • Provide evidence-based dietary counselling tailored to individual medical conditions and recovery goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to deliver patient-centred care.
  • Manage a varied caseload, including surgical, medical, and complex nutritional needs.
  • Accurately document patient care, progress notes, and nutritional recommendations in line with hospital policies and professional standards.

To Be Successful, You Will Have:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Dietetics or Nutrition & Dietetics (accredited)
  • Current APD (Accredited Practising Dietitian) status with Dietitians Australia (essential)
  • Australian working rights (essential)
  • National Police Clearance
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ clinical experience, ideally within an acute hospital setting
