Acute Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse

Healthcare Australia (HCA) is seeking experienced, local Registered and Enrolled Nurses to take on Accident & Emergency (A&E) shifts across public and private hospitals in Darwin. Enjoy the freedom, flexibility and variety that comes with agency nursing while expanding your clinical experience with a range of facilities across the NT.
  
Alongside agency shifts, HCA has short-term contract opportunities available with NT Department of Health (DOH) in A&E wards, commencing from December 2025. If you are looking to secure guaranteed work over the Christmas and New Year period, we would love to hear from you!

Your duties as an Accident & Emergency Nurse include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in fast-paced emergency and triage settings.
  • Administering medications, treatments, and interventions in line with acute care protocols.
  • Responding rapidly to clinical emergencies and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintaining precise documentation and adhering to hospital and A&E policies.
  • Adapting quickly to diverse A&E environments across various facilities while ensuring safe and effective care.

Eligibility:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) or Enrolled Nurse (Division 2)
  • Minimum 12 months paid experience within an accident and emergency (A&E) ward
  • Valid National Police Check
  • Valid NT Working With Children Check (Ochre Card) or willingness to obtain
  • Up-to-date vaccination and serology evidence
  • Full Australian working rights
  • If looking to work a contract with NT DOH, must not have worked here in the last 12 months
