- Provide 1:1 support to clients in their homes, disability-focused facilities, and within the community.
- Assist with both passive and active overnight shifts.
- Transport clients as needed.
- Offer personal care and assistance.
- Provide companionship.
- Work across a 24-hour roster, 7 days a week.
Essential Criteria:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Mental Health, Individual Support, or Aged Care.
- A minimum of 6 months or 900 hours of paid work experience in disability.
- Current National NDIS and DHS Working with Children clearances.
- Current/full license and willingness to drive/transport clients in your own vehicle. Comprehensive car insurance essential.
- Current First Aid/CPR and Manual Handling certificates (or willingness to obtain before commencement).
- A smartphone for accessing the HCA App and service delivery.
Desirable Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following certifications are advantageous:
- Epilepsy, Midazolam and Medication certificate.
- Diabetes management and insulin certificate.
- Managing high challenging behaviours.
- MAPA/CPI Safety Intervention training.
