We are seeking a Recruitment Consultant – Entry Level to join our team for permanent role based in Newcastle. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will join an established team with the responsibility of recruitment of carers and allocation of shifts into your clients.
About the role
If your passion is providing superior customer service and creative solutions to clients and candidates via a contact centre environment or similar, then this is the opportunity for you! In this role, you will manage the placement of temporary nurses/carers at all levels and across specialities into public and private hospitals and aged care facilities.
In addition, you will help develop and grow the business through superior customer service with our candidates and clients. This permanent role is located in Newcastle and requires you to work Monday to Friday working 9am to 5pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain positive relationships with key internal stakeholders enabling smooth interfaces across business / function lines and delivering agreed outcomes.
- Professionally represent the company as the leading healthcare recruitment company in Australia.
- Maintain a high standard of conduct and work performance to promote Healthcare Australia’s reputation with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data on client staffing deficiencies, projected needs and casual vacancies through regular coordination with Client Services.
- Ensure accurate and appropriate nurse records are entered in the system.
- Maintain targeted advertising – drafting and strategically advertising using a range of media.
- Review applications, manage interviews and consider applicants to align with client needs.
- Identify ways of improving systems and processes within your area of responsibility.
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned by your manager to assist in ensuring the success of the team.
- Familiarise and work in accordance with WHS and QMS systems, policies and procedures
- Actively identify, develop and implement business process improvements and efficiencies within your area.
- Perform ad hoc duties and projects assigned by your manager.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Healthcare, Recruitment, Business or Sales
Skills
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Solid admin skills
Experience
- Recruitment experience in the Nursing Sector (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in the casual nursing agency industry.
- Demonstrated experience successfully leading a sales oriented team
- Knowledge of booking systems.
- Significant experience and demonstrated success in people centric, multi-site service businesses.
