About the Role:
We’re looking for a proactive Quality Officer to join our team! In this role you’ll help manage incidents and complaints, carry out internal audits, support performance reviews, and drive continuous improvement. Reporting to the Quality, Risk & Compliance Manager, you’ll work closely with both internal and external teams to ensure we meet our quality goals. Your work will help us stay aligned with HCA policies, Aged Care Quality Standards, and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage incidents and complaints in line with HCA’s standards.
- Keep the Home Care team updated on high-level investigations and findings.
- Accurately record investigation details in all required systems.
- Ensure mandatory reports are submitted on time.
- Provide regular updates on incident trends and investigation progress.
- Conduct internal audits and share findings with clear action plans.
- Follow up on corrective actions with relevant teams.
- Support performance management processes as per HR policies.
- Recommend and help implement process improvements with the GSQ and Home Care teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on incident and complaint management, Aged Care Quality Standards internal audit requirements and other quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide support, guidance, training to internal staff to support correct incident and complaint reporting processes to be followed and to improve incident reporting culture.
To be Considered:
- The ability to complete and document professional, thorough, objective incident, complaint and HR investigations
- Well developed organisational skills, including the ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent data analysis skills, and the ability to assess compliance against standards and identify trends.
- Demonstrated previous experience in risk-based assessment or ability to acquire quickly.
- Experience in report writing or equivalent complex report writing
- Experience in the Home Care sector (desirable)
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards.
