Sarah Jamieson, Service Delivery Lead, South Australia

What were you doing before you joined HCA?

I have worked in the community and residential aged care for many years in a variety of roles, most recently supporting people living with dementia.

How long have you been with the HCA team?

I joined HCA last July as a Support Worker and became a recruitment consultant in December, transitioning to being the Service Delivery Lead for SA, WA and Victoria this August.

What is your favourite thing to do when not working?

I love to garden, read books, walk on the beach, go out for coffee and hunt for treasures in Adelaide’s Op shops. Anything other than housework! Oh and dancing!

What is your favourite movie, band or book?

I read everything I can lay my hands on – my current favourite is ‘Away with the Penguins’ by Hazel Prior. I love music and have an eclectic Spotify playlist (show tunes, latest releases, dance music and torch songs).

What’s a quote you try to live by?

‘Have courage and be kind’

What do you like most about working in HCA Home Care?

I enjoy the team work, camaraderie and opportunity to support my colleagues as we all support our customers to be as independent as possible and remain in their own homes.
